About The League...

WHO: Nooner's Co-Ed Softball League

WHERE: Arsenal Field #2

WHEN: Every Sunday afternoon (except select Holidays) see " Schedule '99"

WHY: The league was established as a wholly in-house, co-ed softball league. We are committed to providing our players with an inexpensive and fun environment that promotes fun, fair-play and the competitive spirit.

BACKGROUND: In 1997, the league sponsored 7 teams: Purple, Black, Green, Blue, Teal, Gold and Red. The Purple team won the Championship in August of 1997 at Woods Field #2. The Black team finished 2nd, while the Green team came in 3rd. We had a great picnic at Lilac Grove following the Championship game. (Standings)

SPECIAL: The league also encourages the players to attend Nooners Bar & Restaurant after every game. We have an attendance contest in which, at the end of every season, we tally up how many players from each team attended the bar during the course of the season. The 1st place team receives a $100 gift certificate, 2nd place gets $75 and the 3rd place team gets $50. Sometimes this contest is more competitive than the games...go figure! Last year, the Gold team came in 1st, Purple came in 2nd and the Green team finished 3rd.
